Wings of Feathers of Joy
Residence overlooking Parque del Oeste, Madrid
The brightness of Miami, earthy tones, and Cuban creativity are the three pillars upon which this extraordinary Madrid residence is reimagined.
A spacious apartment that transitioned from being dark and overloaded to becoming a bright, multicultural, and deeply personal home.
Noble materials, contemporary art, and designer pieces come together here with refinement, character, and sensitivity.

The Transformation
When we first arrived, the 400 m² residence was compartmentalized and decorated in a Moroccan style that did not align with the owners' wishes. We demolished everything and redesigned the space to create a welcoming, contemporary home for a Cuban couple living in Madrid.
The project focuses on the authenticity of materials such as oak and marble, transforming them into artistic pieces.
A palette of earthy tones and designer furniture is balanced with a collection of contemporary Cuban art, creating a harmonious home where everything flows naturally with the light.

The house is organized as a living gallery, where every corner is designed to be both lived in and contemplated.
The living room is divided into three areas overlooking the park, featuring pieces such as the Square sofas by De Padova, Seal Chairs, an Alcor sideboard, and the Línea installation by Dagoberto Rodríguez, alongside oil paintings by Capote and Bedia.
The grand hall showcases Tregua Fecunda by Ariel Cabrera Montejo and a tapestry by Carlos Garaicoa, set against an XXL American oak floor.
In the private area, a library discreetly hides the entrance to the suite, where ebony and walnut woods interact with contemporary design and soft light: a blue Tuffy Too bed by Patricia Urquiola, an LC4 chaise longue by Le Corbusier, and photographs by Grethell Rasua.
Visual coherence extends to the smallest details: an ebony door conceals a guest restroom with a black marble sink and moldings that evoke the stately apartments of Madrid.
In the walk-in closet, the Cité armchair by Jean Prouvé sits naturally alongside marble showers and suspended lighting fixtures resembling sculptures. When the house fills with life, everything makes sense.People move effortlessly among the art, the materials, and the light. Each room resonates with a serene joy.
It is in that moment we understand that the project has fulfilled its purpose: not merely to design a house, but to build a way of living.
