Echoes of the Rastro
Residence near the Prado Museum, Madrid
Just a few steps from the Prado Museum, we undertook the complete transformation of a space that had previously served as an office and needed to be converted into a warm, livable home full of character.
A comprehensive project that demanded a precise architectural approach, full site management, and a particular sensitivity to the owners’ tastes.

The starting point was an interior apartment, previously used as an office, lacking any domestic soul or functional layout.
We completely demolished the interior, removed all existing installations, and proposed a new spatial organization that included an open-plan kitchen connected to the living-dining area, two bedrooms, and two full bathrooms.
It was a full-scale intervention, carefully managing every step of the process to transform technical work into a living experience.

The Transformation
The owners, passionate about antiques and the search for unique pieces at El Rastro, wanted a serene, understated home with subtle nods to the past.
We responded with a simple, timeless palette: dark woods and glossy white paint, creating a dialogue with the filtered light from the interior courtyard.
Every material choice was carefully considered to balance history and modernity.
The apartment, now silent and orderly, has become a personal refuge where function, aesthetics, and emotion coexist.
