Elevated reservoir of Guijo de Coria

GUY

Infrastructure. Architecture

Estremadura

YEAR

2011

In the cork oak landscape of Extremadura, this elevated reservoir responds to an essential need: to guarantee the supply of water through gravity feed.

The metal structure, inspired by electrical towers, was designed to minimize the impact on the environment and optimize the construction process.

A wooden envelope softens its presence in the landscape, transforming a technical infrastructure into a precise and sensitive architectural gesture.
